On their game

The Oswego East boys golf team defeats Romeoville 151-171 at Fox Bend Golf Course in Oswego to improve to 3-0 on the season and 2-0 in the Southwest Prairie Conference for dual matches. Making a splash

Normally more focus settles in later in the season for the Oswego girls co-op swimming and diving team when it relates to the competition. Yet an 89-76 dual win at Waubonsie Valley for the team's first victory is more than just a regular win.

"This year was the first year we actually had a date circled on the calendar," Oswego head coach Deryl Leubner said. (Sept. 2, 2010)

Memorable win

Oswego East fans rush onto the Larkin football field after the Wolves defeat the Royals 35-34 in Week 2 of the season. Senior running back O.J. Graham rushes for 245 yards and four touchdowns to help end Oswego East's 13-game losing streak dating back to the 2009 season. (Sept. 3, 2010)

A penalty kick late in the second half by senior Nate Kyes puts the Panthers up 4-2, and Oswego East cannot recover in a match where Wolves head coach Steve Szymanski is ejected with six minutes left. Not a breeze

Both Oswego and Oswego East boys golf teams duke it out at the Southwest Prairie Conference Meet, with the Wolves placing fourth and the Panthers sixth at the eight-team meet at Broken Arrow Golf Club in Lockport.
