by John Etheredge
Montgomery Police arrested three suspects Tuesday morning in connection with a drive-by shooting at a home in the Lakewood Creek West Subdivision on the village's west side.
No one was hurt in the incident, police reported.
Police said they were summoned to a home in the 2800 block of Frances Lane, about one quarter mile south of U.S. Route 30 on a report of shots fired at 7:43 a.m.
A resident from the Frances Lane home pursued the suspects' vehicle to the area of Ill. Route 31 and U.S. Route 30 where the two vehicles crashed into each other and then the suspects' vehicle drove on to the area of Albright Road and Baseline Road, according to police.
Shortly after 8 a.m. police had arrested the three suspects who were then transported to the village police station at 10 Civic Center Avenue.
In addition, police said they recovered a gun that they believe was used in the shooting.
Further testing of the gun and shelling cases recovered from the shooting scene will be conducted, according to police.
Police said the incident may be gang-related, but is pending further investigation.
