Toss out their taxpayer provided insurance, too
Before they vote to overturn the controversial Affordable Healthcare Act later this spring, we would like to see our U.S. Supreme Court justices give up their own taxpayer-funded health insurance for themselves and their families.
At a minimum if they haven't already filed for Medicare, we'd like to see them forsake the provisions in their coverage that provides them with vision and dental and grants them coverage for their children under the age of 26.
Since the "Supremes" can serve for life, they don't have to spend a single sleepless night worrying about losing their jobs and their health coverage or having the insurance company for their next employer reject their coverage due to a pre-existing condition for themselves or a family member. Pretty sweet, eh? They got theirs-and it's on our dime. Meanwhile, roughly 45 million Americans will continue to go without health insurance as the whole health reform issue is tossed back into the laps of our do-nothing Congress.
